Ahh...tomorrow wednesday...Yippe! Can't wait for my leave day to arrive...i yearn to rot at home, surfing fp, doing nothing, just allow me to day dream a little more can?
Btw im meeting up with my fellow buddies this thursday!! Can't wait to see them! Gers, i miss u all a lot...im serious. It has been so long since we meet up in a group liao.
Before that, i need to do something important. I shall not reveal anything yet ;p

Lazy Sunday. I woke up extremely early today. 8 plus in the morning. Mainly becos i slept at 7pm yesterday night haha...im very tired.

Later im attending my colleague's wedding and i have yet to prepare my clothing yet. Si liao. I don't know what to wear for bottom leh!! Skirt??? I would be moving ard becos im the receptionist. Pant?? All black!? Arghh...Gonna dig my clothings liao!

Hope to see some potentials there. If there's no potentials there, nevermind, still got Marina wedding haha...

Me and Mel told ourselves we must get attached before this Christsmas! ;p

Last friday meet up with a bunch of poly kakis. Finally managed to meet up with them after so long though some of them can't join us. Ah siao!!!!!! GO JB SHOPPING NEVER JIO! HUR!
I enjoyed the conversation (discussion about marina's wedding) that day. Even make me tears, so funny! haha...at least we came out with a conclusion in the end hee
Linda recommend us a very cheap restaurent, $5 for a set meal!! And minghui and me managed to find Yam paste at this Shop called Kai Fei Xiang (also recommended by Ah Der), but the yam taste too sticky and not sweet enough. FIY, all my poly kakis love Yam a lot except Sijie if im not wrong. Sijie, you must learn how to appreciate Yam. Its really nice but don't eat too much, its FATTENING ;x
I believe it would be another hangout place for our gathering. Yeah!
Looking forward to 1st July.

Ok..it would be a very very very extremely long entry. And you know im quite naggy and longwinded ;p

22-05-05
I woke up freaking early for my flight. We are taking the 7.45am flight. Meaning we reach airport 2 hrs eariler (5.45am) to check in our lugguage. I din managed to sleep well. I remember i even msg Linda they all and JOKE with them that i will see them at Terminal 1. They say im CRAZY. My friends very good hor ;p haha...

Yesh, finally we reached airport. Check in our lugguage. Walk around, exploring the internal airport and took some photos. We board the plane. 2nd time in my whole 23 years i took plane. First time also go Bangkok. Hopefully every year i will go different countries hehe.
FYI, we travelled by Thai Airway. Not bad. Surprisingly, food on the plane taste pretty good.

Views outside the plane. Look like many cotton wools floating on the sky! We are very lucky to have window seats to and back from Bangkok. So we would be able to see the beautiful views~

2 hrs later, we reach BKK. YEAH!! We check in to our hotel BKK Palace.

Then we took a cab and rushed down to Chatuchak Market. Its the weekend market, only open on saturday and sunday only. So we can't missed it. Bangkok was really HOT HOT HOT. I simply can't stand the heat. But bo bian...want to shopping have to sacrifice a bit. Chatuchak had lots of good buys. U can bargain, bargain and just bargain. We only shoped for about 3 hours, we leave the place. Becuase its very huge, and u won't remember whther u came this stall before or not. And the heat indeed unbearable. But heng ah, i got apply sunblock lotion. We intend to go back hotel and put our stuffs before heading to another place. Sini msg her brother's friend's girlfriend(Bint) who is a Thai. She bring us ard in Bkk.

Next is Mah Boon Keong. In short MBK. Bint bring us there. We had to walk a long route ( just behind our hotel) to another street and from there, we took a bus. Its a rare chance taking bus oversea. First time i know taking bus can be quite fun, but it can be quite dangerous. The bus moves when you haven even get in. My leg was hanging out of the door halfway and the bus moves. So scary man. The buses in BKK look like the school bus in Singapore. Got aircon somemore leh, mai siao siao. Bus fare is really really really really *100times cheaper than singapore. One tix cost only 5 baut. My math very lousy. So u can go calculate yourself how much in Sing dollar. 100 buat is S$4.


Bus ticket. We pay our bus fare to the bus conductor. He carry a ticket box.Whenever someone board the bus, pay, he would tear the ticket. Its like olden days of Singapore.

MBK is a huge shopping mall. Total 7 storeys. Beside MBK, there is this small shopping centre called Siam Square. It sells lots of funky, trendy stuffs. People like me surely buy lots of stuffs from there. Clothing ard 150 buat to 300. Shoes only $8. accessories don need to say. Very cheap. Everything CHEAP, CHEAP CHEAP. We din managed to cover all these places because its huge and we were hungry. We decided to dine at MK restuarents. Sini told me there's one in Singapore before. But i don't know leh. Anyway its a place for steamboat.

On our way there, we saw this cute doggy. Sini call him/her, it actually turn and look at sini. So clever!
I realize Bangkok got a lot of stray dogs. Can't even see a single stray cat on the street at all. And they are very smart ok.



Denkin donuts~ Heard from fp podders that its nice. So go there must try. Indeed its nice even we eat it after 2 days~

We carry too much stuffs, and we was thinking how we gonna bring back to Singapore so we decided to buy another bag. Only cost us $8! Cheap~Both of our bags contains only tibits..haha...

After steamboat, we took a cab back hotel. Thats the first day.

This day we suppose to wake up at 7.30am for our half day tour. But then we were so tired the day before after so much shopping so we decided to put aeroplane haha...

We woke up 8 plus, prepared and went down for my breakfast buffet. Food okok only. Some taste weird. Their cooking style different from here. Even orange is make from syrup loh, still state FRESH orange duhz. Overall, i can say is mostly the buffet is make up of Eggs and Flour.

After which, we go back hotel and do big business (this i also have to say haha...) their food simply not our type. Then we meet Bint and go to Pratunam Market

Its just located behind our hotel. But have to walk a long route to the next street (yah, its the same route i walk and took bus to mbk), cross the bridge, walk through a shopping mall and then we can see Pratunam Market. U don't see these little few words describing how to get to Pratunam, Its might seems easy but its actually quite a long journey. And very sian loh, almost everyday must walk the same route. I told sini i close my eyes i also can walk. And i always don't feel secure walking down the street. U don't know when your bag will kanna rob away or what will happen to u what.

Pratunam Market is a wholesale market. It is similar to the Bugis Village.The things also very cheap (fei hua rite?lolz..everything in bkk is cheap!) But in this place, they will give you better price if you buy in bulk like 3 or 6 items and above. If not, don't waste your breath bargaining. I managed to bought 1 set of bikini there. I also don't know why i buy. I seldom swim and i got small upper body (ermm you all noe lah ;p) . Can't resist cos its really cheap only 200 baut (S$8 only). And not forgetting also bought other stuffs too. Then we walk back through the same route again...go to this hair salon which Bint always do her hair. We did our manicure and padicure there. Its cheap but then very louya loh, the paint came off after 1 day.............but what can you expect rite?

After which we continue the same route(again!) and put our stuffs in our room and head down to this seafood restuarent recommend by Bint. She say its cheap compared to other places like Chinatown. We spent total of 770 buat ($30) for a BIG plate of pineapple rice (very delicious!!), crab, fried squids, kangkong. And yesh, we walk back the same route again. Si bei irritating hor..
Back to hotel, put our heavy barang barang then walk down the route again for the bus, then get down at the mrt station. Took the train to donno what stop ( i followed Bint so i don't know!). We go for Massage! Only $18 for 2 full hours whole body somemore, include face also leh. CHEAP haha...Veri shoik but very pain. But something that make me ponder until now is that lady massage my foot then last is my face. They got wash their hand after touching my foot or not???? !!!!

Bint teach us how to pay the ticket for BTS. ITs the same as Singapore mrt. But you can't buy tix using notes. Have to change into 10 buats coins at the counter.

After massage, Bint suggest to go for a drink.We head down to PatPong.Similar to Muhd Sultan. A place where all the pubs located. And there sells lots of branded stuffs. There's even many bikini gers doing pole dancing *sexy*. We settle down at this Music Cafe. They got Live Band.



Songs all very updated one leh. But mostly people there are Ang Mosss. I ordered Margarita~, Bint- fruit punch while sini order Tiger Beer. Frankly speaking, after drinking that margarita, i feel a bit seh liao...im not a good drinker..hehe..then Bint ask me to dance, i stand up and dance loh..think sini a bit shocked..haha..eh im a bit seh liao so i dare to dance lah...the people there buey paiseh one loh...there is this very very small dance floor, and got one old lady dance with this quite old ang mo. They dancing CHA CHA !!! But the song playing is RNB song loh... Me and sini was laughing at them. No one else. I think thats common in Thailand. If they are in Singapore, i think millions of eyes set on them immediately. haha...
After that, hotel sweet hotel.

Same thing. Breakfast buffet at the lobby restuarent. Same old food. But different people..haha..
This time i enjoyed my food very much. Cos....cos....i got some motivation!
What's my motivation???As you read on, you will know.
Sini told me their porriage very nice. Different from other food. No wierd smell.
Was walking towards the porriage corner and saw this chap tendering the place. Wah seh...as what i describe to my fellow colleagues, my eyes BLINK BLINK BLINK. He look GOOD, cute too! For a 38 like me, i rush back carrying a bowl of nice smelling porriage, haven even reach table, i told sini that guy very very cute! Sini reaction is ----> -_- hahaha

Ok. Enough of my movtivation.
We finish our food and walk to Pratunam again to change my jeans. Its a bit loose so i change a size smaller. Who knows???!!! Its too tight!!!!Can't even button loh. Wah piang. The Thais are all skinny. You people who say i skinny or slim, please go Thailand! Im so so jealous of them can! Their legs....what can i say?mine is pig leg loh. For skirts, i wear size M. Can u imagine??Usually i wear Size S leh... I feel fat when im there. Si bei zhi bei.

OK enough of my ranting too. We head down to Big C. Its a shopping mall plus a huge supermarket, similar to Carrefour but bigger. We took a cab down. Talking about cab. Singaporeans simply do not worry about the fare at all. Their meter start at only 35 buat ($1.70), it jump very slow, extremely slow till sini wondering if they on the meter already or not. Its like from Sengkang to tampines, the meter doesn't move at all. This is the first time i do not worry about the fare, doesn't need to constant looking at the meter worrying i not enough money, we only kept looking at it with those 'WAH! SO SLOW' look.
Big C, I definitely won't forget what happen to us in this place.
The groceries, everything is cheap. Then we happily pushing the trolley, taking things we want.
Our turn to pay our stuffs. 1000 over baut!!!!!!

Not enough money to pay!? What to do, we told the cashier we doesn't want some stuffs, so we took away a few things. After calculation, 800 over baut! Hur??? Still not enough...

we walk away with just 2 bottles of 1.5 litre of mineral water and 1 packet of sandwich....
What can i say? MALU!

Only the 3rd day i almost spent all my $500. Sing dollars ok.

We had KFC for dinner that day. Its a bit cheaper than Singapore but if you order those big big set, family meals, its really worth. I told sini that we shall spent less on food now.Maybe eat those roadstall one ;p

Opposite Big C, is this World Trade Centre. Its a shopping mall. No cable car one ok.
This place sells relatively expensive goods. Same as Singapore Takashimaya. We just walk walk ard, change my 100 sing dollars there. The currency rate there is much better than here. here is ard 23.60.There u can get 23.85.

This is our only last full day which we can explore the places we yet to go.

We went down to Grand Palace. On the way there, i saw lots of big big framed poster of their president. Just by the road. I believe the Thais respect their president a lot.

This is the day we dress up a bit. Because we are told before hand we can't wear sleeveless, 3 quarters, slippers into the temple. But i still wear my 3 quarter jeans in leh. Think they not that strict too. But got a fe Thais standing outside the temple (think they are cab drivers) told us we can't go in becuase of our dressings. Idiot. We ignored them totally.

Basically these places, almost everything are make of gold. I also don't know why. We took quite a few photos there. But throughout the visiting, im not that happy.
I FORGOT TO APPLY MY SUNBLOCK LEH. So hot! I even wanted to buy hat and unbrella. But they look very chin-na. Talking about Chin-na make me remember of something quite hilarous. Out of topic first hor. paiseh. The bellboy from the hotel though both of us from Korea. I was quite disappointed, why they never say from Japan? lol..
Nevermind. We met this group of Sri Laka-s. They ask Sini we from China izizt? WTH!!!












This guard not supposed to move at all. He have to stand still the whole day. Sini told me she saw an ant on his shoulder but donno whther to tell him or not haha.

after grand palace, we go back to MBK as we din managed to cover all the previous day. I met the same incident in one of the shop. Not enough money. Buy too much. Have to sacrifice one top lo ;( We get to eat sharkfins and birdnest at the foodcourt. The birdnest is exactly the same as the can drink we can get in Singapore. You know the brand Super birdnest can drink? Yeah, thats the one. duhz.
The sharkfin leh, might hiam still not bad but with very little FINS loh lolz.
Their buying methods is different. We had to purchase the coupons at the counter and pay our food with the coupons. The couples look like monopoly money.

Then we go down to Chinatown. Heard people say they sells seafood, sharkfins, birdnest. But we never see leh. Maybe food doesn't attract us that much.
Then Suam Lam Night Market is the last place b4 we end our day.
Its something like chatuchak. But their things are arrange nicely. More spacious. Not like chatuchak pasar malam kind. I bargain a lot too. But until the 4th day, bargaining like no more kick liao. Feel quite sian to bargain also. Maybe just get discount of a few dollars.

Get back to hotel whole body sticky, shoulder ache, foot ache like hell too. Never had been shopping like nobody business before. Feeling time passes very slow, money running out very fast haha...

Last day
26-5-05

Never wake up for buffet. I very very sian of the same food again and again. Therefore i never get to see my yandao and never get to take picture with him. This is my only yi han before i left Thailand lolz.

We can't travel too far becos we have to get back to our hotel lobby for driver to pick us to airport at 4pm.
Therefore we intend to go to the nearest place which is IndraSquare (something like that) to shop a bit.
Walk back hotel lobby at 3pm, sit down at the cafe.


We have some drinks and cakes while waiting for the driver.
The cakes are only $2 each. Drink only $3 each. so much cheaper compare coffee beans. They taste exactly the same somemore. The watermelon juice were very sweet. I miss eating them now! :(

Finally driver come and pick us up. Yesh, we are on the way back to Singapore. I miss here, everything esp food except shopping keke... this indeed a very good experience for me and sini. Too bad we never get to sit the tuktuk, watch the tiger show, visit pubs with binikis gers. I know sini very much wanted to sit on the tuktuk. But safety come first.

But nevermind, money can be earn back.

After the trip, i realise:
1) Im very good at bargaining
2) I actually not that blur after all, i remember all the directions and way in Thailand ok. keke

Im so so happy. Finally i can go to slp now. lolz.

I might be going to Thailand once again this year woohoo! Most probably after i got my bonus. With my sis. She want to go too. Only go for 1 or 2 days only. I still want to shop in BKK lah.
